African Leadership Team visits President Adama Barrow, Vice President Isatou Touray, of the Gambia
Boosting intra-african trade and partnerships were the key themes as the African Leadership Team visited Gambia; meeting with President Adama Barrow, Vice President Isatou Touray, Nigeria High Commissioner to the Gambia, Amb Mohammed Manu; the Senegalese High Commissioner, Amb Bassirou Sene; the British High Commissioner to the Gambia, David Belgrove OBE, as well as the CEO Gambia oic secretariat, Yankuba Dibba; MD/CEO of Gambia National petroleum Corporation, Yaya F. Barrow; and other policy and business leaders.
Highpoints of the weeklong visit included the African Leadership business forum – Gambia 2021 with speakers including Vice President Isatou Touray; Mamadou Barry, imf Country Representative for The Gambia; Aissatu De, undp Country Rep for the Gambia; Saul Frazer, CEO Global Properties; Njilan Sanghore, Managing Director designate, Trust Bank Gambia; and Abdoulie M Touray, Chairman Sahel Investment Group.
The Vice President HE Isatou Touray witnessed the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the African Leadership Organization UK and Global Properties Gambia Limited.
The visit concluded with the presentation of educational scholarships to 3 indigent students, and the inauguration of the African Leadership Scholars Program in The Gambia, with students drawn from the University of The Gambia and other nearby institutions.
