Delegates from the National Bar Association of the United States Advocate SDG 13.

 

The African Leadership Organization’s Chairman, Dr. Ken Giami, led the President of The National Bar Association of the United States, Honorable Judge Carlos Moore, alongside a five member team from the United States for a Tree planting Ceremony in Nigeria.

Judge Moore stated that ”Climate change is affecting every country on every continent, disrupting national economies and affecting lives. Weather patterns are changing, sea levels are rising, and weather events are becoming more extreme, thus the need to adhere to best global practices that support the environment”.

These Delegates who were on a visit to Nigeria for the first time, had their focus fixed on Curbing Climate Change and Maintaining a Clean-Green Environment, inline with The United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goals, SDG 13.

The Tree Planting Ceremony saw each delegate implanting Palmolive roots, signaling their affirmation to stay connected to Mother Land Africa and their commitment to curbing the surge of Climate Change.

The Delegates included: Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives – Lataisha Mona Jackson, The Araba Ohenebaa Dowell, Attorney at The Harrison Firm LLC – Cynthia Wright Harrison, Compliance and ethics professional at Walmart Stores, Inc – Jamie Delores-Ann Davis and, South Carolina State Rep., Rosalyn Denise Myers.

Also present at the Ceremony, was the Editor of Africa Energy & Infrastructure Magazine – Wofai Samuel, Group Editor of African Leadership Magazine – Kingsley Okeke and the C.E.O of Solid Investment Group, Franya Cabral Ruiz.
